Shaykh Abdus Salam Ibn Burjis (Rahimahullah) said: “We have been tested in these times with many of those who ascribe to Salafiyah, from those who are extreme in their rulings upon people by accusing them of being innovators. This affair has gone so far that the ruling of innovation has been generalized upon every community and that the origin regarding anyone other than themselves is that they are innovators until their affair is clarified! These individuals are completely ignorant of the legislation of Islam (i.e. Sharee‟ah), they are ignorant in their understanding of the statements of the scholars regarding innovation and the people of innovation. Hence there is no regard or consideration for their statements; rather their statements are like floating dust particles that have absolutely no weight. Sheikh Abdul Muhsin Ibn Hamad Al Abbad (Hafithahullah) did an excellent job when he wrote that monumental book advising and warning against their Minhaj (i.e. methodology) called: Gentleness O Ahlus Sunnah with Ahlus Sunnah” {found in his research of the Effects of the Noble Qur‟an in Attaining Moderation Pg. 218}
